This page covers the Cantofermo website at cantofermo.com. It is short because the site does very little: it describes the product and lets you join a waiting list.

Who is responsible

Cantofermo is run by Tamas Reti in the United Kingdom, company number 17498580. The registered company name and address will be added here shortly. For anything on this page, write to contact@cantofermo.com.

What we collect, and why

If you join the waiting list, we store:

• the email address you type in;
• the date and time you submitted it;
• which page you submitted it from;
• the two-letter country code our host works out from your connection.
• the status and timing of your thank-you email, including any sending attempts.
• a private unsubscribe token and the date you opt out, if you do.

We use your address to send a short thank-you when you join the waiting list and an announcement when Cantofermo opens up. We keep the sending status so we can handle problems and avoid sending the thank-you again. We will not send newsletters or other marketing, and we will not sell, rent or pass your address to anyone for their own purposes.

The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and every email we send will include a way to do that.

What we do not collect

This site sets no cookies and carries no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. We do not know who visits, which pages they read, or where they came from. The only thing stored in your browser is on the sign-in page: if you type your institution’s address there, your browser remembers it so you do not have to type it again. That stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Who else handles your details

The site and the waiting list are hosted by Cloudflare, who store the list in a database located in Western Europe on our behalf. Cloudflare also keeps short-term records of requests to the site, as any web host does, to keep it running and to block attacks. Cloudflare also handles delivery of the automatic thank-you email and processes its delivery status. Replies to contact@cantofermo.com are handled through our Google Workspace (Gmail) email service. We do not use tracking pixels or measure whether you open the thank-you email. Its logo is loaded from our website if your email app allows remote images; it contains no personal identifier.

How long we keep it

We keep the active list until Cantofermo opens up and we have told you, or until you opt out — whichever comes first. If the product has not launched within two years of your sign-up, we will delete the active list rather than sit on addresses indefinitely. After an opt-out, we retain your address and unsubscribe record to prevent further mail and accidental reactivation. You can ask us to delete this record too.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. Use the unsubscribe link in your welcome email and confirm on the page to stop future list emails. Joining the form again will not reactivate an unsubscribed address; contact us if you want to rejoin. You can also email contact@cantofermo.comand we will act on it within one month, normally far sooner. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Institutions already using Cantofermo

If your school or organisation runs Cantofermo, the timetable data inside it is controlled by them, not by us, and their own privacy notice applies. This page only covers this website.
